Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate books! We had a great time and raised some money for ABAC programming. Stay tuned for pictures from the event!
It’s not too late if you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution.
Join us Monday, October 2nd, 6:30-9:30 P.M. to celebrate the accomplishments of the Austin Book Arts Center over the last year!
Master of Ceremonies–Greg Ciotti
Carson McHone will perform.
Eat some cake. Bind a book. Print a keepsake. Bid on items in the Silent Auction.
To support our Texas neighbors affected by Hurricane Harvey, ABAC will collect donations of new or gently used children’s books at the event.
Location: White Horse Saloon, 500 Comal St, Austin, Texas 78702
All proceeds will go directly towards ABAC’s educational programming and outreach to children in Central Texas. ABAC’s studios include a fully-equipped letterpress printshop, with three Vandercook proof presses and an 8×12 Chandler & Price platen jobber. Last year, ABAC’s expansion significantly increased our capacity to offer workshops and to fulfill our mission. We are also pleased to announce 35 classes and workshops offered at ABAC this fall: concentrations in bookbinding, letterpress, papermaking to name a few. Open Studio times are scheduled, enabling students and artists from central Texas to create books and prints the old-fashioned way. No batteries required!
Please feel free to print out and bring your PayPal receipt, but all tickets will be held at Will Call the night of the event at the White Horse Saloon.
Notice to donors: Austin Book Arts Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extant allowed by law.
