ExpiredPaper Circuits

Learn to combine papercraft techniques with friendly, accessible electronics materials like copper tape, flat batteries, and bead-like LED lights. In this workshop, we will apply these techniques to make glowing, interactive books that make creative use of light and shadow. By the end of the day you will have learned to make simple circuits with copper tape, embed colorful LED lights, and add switches and tiny controllers to make your books blink, sparkle, and glow.

No electronics experience necessary! The course is designed for complete beginners, and we are excited about sharing these fascinating materials with artists and creative crafters.

The Paper Circuits course material was developed by Natalie Freed and Becca Rose Glowacki.

Note: the Tunnel Book and Paper Circuits workshops are designed as a series; students who sign up for both will learn to create a light-up tunnel book. These workshops can also be taken independently.
