Junk Journaling & Jameson:
Jump on the junk-journaling bandwagon! Part diary and part scrapbook, junk-journaling is a creative, free-form, eco-friendly process that emphasizes self-expression by filling pages with discarded and found materials. With the lack of formal rules and emphasis on experimentation, many find junk journaling to be relaxing, even therapeutic.
Join us to sip a cocktail, or other non-alcoholic beverage (provided), and let the creativity flow. Participants are asked to bring any paper or cardboard materials destined for recycling or the trash bin: letters, receipts, book pages, maps, junk mail, brown paper bags, music sheets, tickets, coffee/tea-stained papers, magazines, envelopes, etc. Bring your own bound journal, or learn to make a simple, saddle-stitched book for junk journaling.
This event is part of a monthly collaboration with Allison Lash and Awesome Art! Scheduled on a Friday evening, participants are invited to a Happy Hour style event, complete with fun and experimentation with a book arts technique, along with beverages and snacks! This series is perfect for a date night, gals night, or just a casual social interaction. Wind down with us and get those creative energies flowing!

In 2015, after moving to Austin, Texas, I founded Awesome Art!—an after-school program designed to spark creativity and confidence in young artists. What began as a local initiative has since grown into a multi-generational arts program serving communities in and beyond Austin. I design and lead inclusive, hands-on art workshops for people of all ages while creating welcoming and accessible visual arts experiences that foster creativity, connection, and community.
I oversee all aspects of program development, including logistics, budgeting, client and vendor relations. I partner with schools, libraries, museums, non-profits, and local government agencies to expand access to arts programming and ensure that everyone—regardless of age, background, or ability—can engage in the healing health benefits of making art.
