My name is Meredith Miller, and I have been involved with bookbinding and letterpress printing for more than 25 years. After studying printmaking and bookarts with Mary Phelan and Hedi Kyle at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I moved to Austin in 1991 to work for Booklab, where I specialized in restoration and artist’s bindings, under Gary Frost, Priscilla Spitler, and Craig Jensen. I ran the letterpress lab for the University of Texas design department for ten years and concurrently co-owned Roto, a letterpress design business, from 1996-2002. Punchpress began in the summer of 2002. Initially a commercial letterpress business, Punchpress is now a studio dedicated to teaching and working with artists of all disciplines to facilitate their project visions.
