Based on historic limp parchment bindings, this laced-case paper binding is a beautiful non-adhesive structure that will highlight the use of handmade paper by Beck Whitehead. The textblock and cover are constructed separately. Students will learn how to sew a multi-section textblock on single cord supports with a hooked endpaper construction, as well as the basics of endband sewing. The elegant structural design allows the textblock to remain flexible during opening and is very satisfying to make.
