Edition Your Woodcuts/Linocuts Quickly & Efficiently Using Letterpress!

Say goodbye to your brayer and discover the ease and speed of editioning on a self-inking press. This workshop covers the basics of printing and editioning your woodcuts, linocuts, and/or woodtype on the Vandercook proof press. The instructor will cover proper inking, adjusting packing, adjusting rollers and the operating the press to edition your carved block. Color registration will be covered, but students will edition only in one color during the workshop. Students will bring their own paper and blocks that are already carved.

This workshop does not cover carving blocks.

Completion of this class will qualify students to use the Vandercook presses during Open Studio times.

Level: This class is appropriate for adult students at all levels.
