Make a Pinhole Camera
Online via Zoom
Use some basic bookbinding materials and techniques to make your very own pinhole camera. We will begin the workshop looking at some images produced using the “camera obscura” effect, with a brief discussion of the history and mechanics of the process. We will then use bookboard and bookcloth to construct a pinhole camera, using a kit provided. There will be plenty of time during the workshop to experiment with the process and to produce pinhole photographs with amazing results! No previous bookbinding or photography experience required.
This workshop requires a kit that will be mailed to registered students via USPS 2-Day Priority.
(This kit only includes materials to construct the camera. An additional kit, which will include materials to make photographs from your pinhole camera, will soon be available for purchase at cost).
