ExpiredPaper Marbling for Kids

Join us for an exploration into marbling! We will learn various contemporary marbling techniques to create one of a kind prints. These marbling techniques use completely non-toxic materials and can be replicated at home with easy to find supplies. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!

Level: This class is appropriate for children ages 8-14.

Holly Zeiner graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Advertising/Graphic Design and minors in Business Administration and Art History. After college she lived and taught art in Germany for two years before moving back to Texas to pursue a masters in printmaking. As life goes, plans change. Holly moved to Austin in 1993 and began working in graphic design and public relations. Nowadays Holly works full time as a calligrapher and website designer. She took her first calligraphy class at the age of 13 and has loved it ever since. Currently, Holly is a member and past president of Capital City Scribes, Austin’s calligraphy guild and regularly participates in guild exhibits. She has taught marbling classes for CCS several times and has used the process and results in numerous art projects, on fabric, and even wood. Holly is married and has four children, two cats and a dog. She is also extremely proud to be a seventh generation Texan.
