PUSH Print! celebrates the accomplishments of the Austin Book Arts Center over the past year, including successfully moving operations to a larger studio–a storefront that is centrally located on North Lamar Blvd, enabling a significant expansion of programming. At a time in Austin’s history, when many artists and arts organizations are being priced out of established neighborhoods, ABAC not only continues to weather the storm, but thrives, speaking to the resonance of its mission to engage people of all ages in creative, interpretive, and educational experiences related to the arts of the book.

PUSH Print! is held in conjunction with the MASTER CLASS: Printing P22 Blox with Richard Kegler, in which students will explore “P22 Blox”, a modular letterpress printing block system that uses only 8 basic shapes to create lettering and pattern design. Kegler will guide participants in design exercises towards producing collaborative prints. Pre-registration is required. ONLY 6 SPOTS!
